Getting Involved
SRT volunteers are active year-round across Texas and the surrounding region. We host adoption events, attend dog shows, organize fundraisers, and coordinate transport runs to get Samoyeds where they need to go. Whether you want to adopt, foster, volunteer, or simply cheer us on — there is always something happening!
Adoption & Meet-and-Greet Events
We regularly attend pet adoption fairs and community events where you can meet our available dogs in person. These events are a great way to find your perfect match and talk with our volunteers about what it takes to welcome a Samoyed into your home.
Rescue Transport Runs
Getting dogs from shelters and surrenders to foster homes sometimes means crossing hundreds of miles. Our volunteer drivers — and our partners at Pilots N Paws — make it happen. Transport runs are a wonderful way to help without a long-term commitment.
Fundraising & Community Outreach
From bake sales to online campaigns, our fundraising efforts keep the rescue running. Every dollar raised goes directly to vet care, food, grooming, and transport for the dogs in our program. North Texas Giving Day on September 18 is one of our biggest fundraising days of the year!
Volunteer Gatherings & Training
Our volunteers are the heart of SRT. We hold periodic gatherings to train new fosters, share best practices, and celebrate the dogs we have placed. If you are passionate about Samoyeds and want to make a difference, we would love to have you on the team.
